We are seeking one or more Lecturers in Applied Bioinformatics Curriculum to support delivery of advanced content in our MSc in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Data Science. This teaching track spans core domains in modern bioinformatics including omics data analysis, structural modeling, systems biology, and computational approaches in neuroscience, pharmacology, and biomedicine.
Candidates are not expected to cover all courses listed in the announcement. We welcome applicants with specific domain expertise who can contribute to selected modules within the broader applied curriculum.
The position may be full-time or part-time with flexible start dates. A minimum of one term per academic year of in-person presence in Kyiv is preferred (even though we can also consider remote options) to ensure effective teaching and student engagement. We will assist with accommodation search and local logistics during this period.
Requirements for the position:
MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Medicine, or a relevant interdisciplinary field. Exceptional BSc graduates may be considered for Teaching Assistant roles.
Demonstrated expertise in one or more applied domains such as omics, systems biology, cheminformatics, or computational neuroscience.
Experience teaching or mentoring in higher education settings.
Proficiency with bioinformatics tools, pipelines, and relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R, bash).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and academic integrity.
Key responsibilities:

Contribute to course development and integration within the applied bioinformatics track.
Mentor MSc students pursuing projects aligned with your field.
Collaborate with faculty across life sciences, computer science, and quantitative disciplines.
