We are seeking a highly motivated Lecturer in Biological Disciplines to contribute to the development and delivery of foundational courses in our MSc in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Data Science. The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating biological expertise into a data-driven curriculum and mentoring students who work at the intersection of biology and computation.
The position may be full-time or part-time with flexible start dates. A minimum of one term per academic year of in-person presence in Kyiv is preferred to ensure effective teaching and student engagement. We will assist with accommodation search and local logistics during this period.
Requirements for the position:
MSc or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or a related field.Exceptional BSc graduates are also invited, as they may be considered for Teaching Assistant roles.
Demonstrated teaching or research experience in university-level biological science courses.
Ability to explain biological processes in a way accessible to computational and quantitative students.
Familiarity with bioinformatics or interdisciplinary work is strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English (courses would be led in English)
Commitment to inclusive, student-centered, and interdisciplinary teaching practices.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver lectures and/or laboratory instruction in core biological science courses.
Collaborate with colleagues across biology, computer science, and statistics to ensure curricular coherence.
Mentor MSc students in biological interpretation of data and experimental design.
Participate in curriculum development and academic quality assurance.
Engage in KSE's interdisciplinary teaching community.
